Loni Bernally-HolyanEvent Space Manager

    Loni Bernally-Holyan is a Diné woman from Shiprock, New Mexico, born of the Towering House Clan and the Weaver Zia Clan. She holds a BFA in Indigenous Liberal Studies with a minor in Museum Studies from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) and a certificate in Tribal Court Advocacy from Phoenix Community College (PCC).

    With over ten years of experience in the arts sector, Loni has dedicated her career to supporting Indigenous artists and entrepreneurs. Her diverse portfolio includes roles at prominent organizations such as the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), the International Folk Art Market (IFAM), the Gathering of Nations (GON) and most recently working for the Poeh Cultural Center and coordinating the logistics of the Pathways Indigenous Arts Festival. 

    Loni’s passion lies in preserving and promoting Indigenous arts and culture. She believes in the power of art to tell stories and connect communities. Working for the Poeh Cultural Center gave her the opportunity to work closely with the Northern Pueblo Communities. 

    “Working within the non-profit art sector has been one of my biggest accomplishments,” shares Loni. “Helping ensure the continuation of Indigenous arts and the narrative behind those creations is a vital part of my job. I absolutely love working with all the artists and learning about their own personal stories behind their creations.”
